Hi! On June 20th I am running Grandma's Marathon in Duluth as a part of Children's Team Superstars! This is my first marathon and I am both excited and nervous to start training soon! As most of you know, my lung collapsed the summer before my senior year of high school and I spent some time at Children's Hospital. It was during my time in the hosptial that I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was older. Due to the positive impact that Children's made on my life, I keep looking for ways to give back. I started during my senior year when I organized a project to make and donate 77 tie blankets. I've also spent time volunteering the past three summers at Children's St. Paul and I've volunteered at Walk for Amazing the past two years with my mom. I decided I wanted to do something big because it is my last year of undergrad and I found this amazing opportunity to become a part of Children's Team Superstars! I have a goal of raising $500 to support immediate needs at Children's Hospitals in St. Paul and Minneapolis and I am looking for donations.
