Hi there!

Last year I built this sprayfoam brain in my garage and starting running around the Twin Cities to help raise awareness of pediatric brain tumors.  I ran 10 miles with the big brain to help Childrens MN take care of families facing that terrifying diagnosis.  I became Totally Brain Dad.   (Well, my wife would probably contest I have held that moniker for a lot longer than that. )

In 2018, I have decided to try to run the full Twin Cities Marathon (26.2 miles!) on October 7, 2018.  I have a long way to go fitnesswise to accomplish that task and honestly there are real doctory type questions about the ability of my neck hold up that giant brain for that distance.  SOOO, I'm gonna need some help getting ready for this thing.  Over the next several months I will be seeking help to #trainthebrain so that I can accomplish the full marathon with headgear.    I am going to need running advice, fitness advice, neck doctoring advice, and likely even building brain advice (in case I need come up with something lighter for the longer race).  I hope you'll follow along with this adventure at totallybraindad.com or on social media.  I hope you'll consider donating to Childrens MN.  Any amount is an amazing action to be there for a family on their worst day.
