On May 2nd, I am participating in the Texas Epilepsy Walk at Forest Park and the Fort Worth Zoo. This cause is incredibly close to my heart as I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with individuals and families navigating neurogenetic epilepsies and see firsthand the challenges they face every day.

Why I’m Walking: Through my work in genetic research and patient-centered care, I’ve seen how important access to resources, education, and community support truly is. I am raising funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation Texas and its mission to provide specialized clinics, summer camps, and mental wellness programs to our community at no cost. This year, we’re working to make Dallas-Fort Worth a safer community by expanding Seizure First Aid (SFA) certification and awareness.
