Madison was born in February 2007. She was diagnosed with atypical Rett Syndrome on July 19, 2009, when she was 2 ½ years old. Madison and her family live in Blacklick, Ohio located near Columbus, Ohio. Madison's dad, Rob, grew up in Westerville, Ohio while her mom, Carrie, grew up in Akron, Ohio.

Madison has 2 older sisters, April and Taylor. She also has a younger sister Riley. We started noticing at 18 months of age, that something wasn't quite right. We started questioning the doctors who all said she was merely delayed. We knew otherwise with having 2 older daughters.

Madison's inability to move was what first triggered us into thinking something wasn't right. She did not crawl until 2 years of age and finally shortly after her 3rd birthday took 8 steps on her own with her physical therapist.

Madison is a very happy, energetic and funny girl! She enlightens everyone's life. Madison started walking independently within the last year. Her speech has diminished to basically nothing since she has started walking. She now has an Accent 1200 from PRC with eye gaze and she sure rocks it!!

Madison loves going to the pool, playground or riding her bike. She also loves the beach and spending time with her family!
