Each year the Friendship Paddle harnesses the power of people and the ocean to support a couragous family dealing with a significant challenge. Your generosity directly impact hope and time. Please join us in 2026 to honor the remarkable journey of Scott Miners.

Scott, a dedicated husband, father, surfer, volunteer, and longtime Santa Barbara community member needs our help. In 2021, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. After years of treatment, his cancer has progressed to Stage 4. Even while facing his own diagnosis, Scott has continued to show up for others. He has volunteered with Meals on Wheels, built friendships through the Cancer Center community, and supported the Friendship Paddle family itself. Last year, while quietly fighting his own battle, Scott paddled, encouraged, and supported another honoree.

Now it is our turn to show up for Scott.
