Dear Friends,

I’m stepping a little outside my comfort zone here—so bear with me.

I’m playing in something called The Hundred, which means I’ll be walking and playing 100 holes of golf in one day. Yes… 100. By hole 37, I may be questioning my life choices. By hole 82, I’ll probably be bargaining with my legs. But it’s all for a really good reason.

The Hundred supports Little Lights Urban Ministries, which serves kids and families in Southeast DC, kids who deserve opportunity, support, and people in their corner.

Now, if you know me, you know fundraising isn’t exactly my natural habitat. I’m more of a “keep it lowkey, stay in the background” kind of guy. But this is something I believe in, so I figured it’s time to step up (and apparently walk… a lot).

I’ve seen Little Lights’ work firsthand, and it’s the real deal. I’ve watched kids out at Langston learning the game, chipping, putting, and even getting out on the course. And it’s not just golf, it’s mentorship, confidence, and consistency. I’ve also seen what happens at their learning center, where students are supported and encouraged in ways that really stick.

One moment that really stayed with me was this past Christmas. SGA helped with a toy drive, and I got to deliver the gifts myself. It was simple, but meaningful, just seeing the care and thought that goes into serving these families. It made everything feel real.

All of that is why I’m doing this. I truly believe in what Little Lights is building. It’s the kind of thing you wish existed everywhere, and I’d love to help it grow.

So here’s the ask (I’ll keep it simple): if you’re able, I’d really appreciate your support. Whether it’s $25, $50, or $100, it genuinely makes a difference.
