When we pulled up to Daystar last week, Lucy exclaimed “THE LITTLE YELLOW HOUSE!” It’s a place that feels like home for so many & even a 3 year old can pick up on that sense of welcome.
Walking in the front door of Daystar for the first time is a like a warm hug for so many families in the midst of the hardest season of their lives - whether it’s loss or anxiety or depression or illness or a crisis of some kind.
That sense of WELCOME isn’t just the pet therapists & twinkle lights & popcorn, it’s being able to say to parents - we can offer you a sliding scale if you’re in a season of desperately needing counseling for your children that you can’t afford.
It’s getting to tell them, there are real people in their city giving the little bit extra they have here & there so that their kids can find hope & healing at Daystar.
For 14 years now, I’ve personally had friends, family & acquaintances put over $22,500 dollars behind the mission of accessible counseling. If you would consider giving a little to our fundraising efforts today, it would mean the world to us!
