Theresa’s Walk for Children & Families is a heartfelt community event that celebrates the life and legacy of Theresa Burke-Danforth while raising critical awareness about the importance of mental health and wellness for children and families. Theresa's Walk brings together supporters, families, staff, and community partners to continue the mission that guided Theresa throughout more than 27 years of service—ensuring that every child and family receives the compassion, support, and resources they need to thrive.

Theresa devoted her career to uplifting local children and families. Her unwavering commitment, warm guidance, and steady presence touched countless lives. Her “families,” the children and caregivers she supported, consistently describe feeling seen, supported, and valued because of her compassionate leadership at Bay State Community Services. Today, her influence continues to shape the programs and care that help families build strength, wellness, and resilience.
