Mikie’s Peeps was created in memory of Mike Crone (aka Mikie), who passed from pancreatic cancer nearly seven years ago. Mike was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer and died a short 2.5 weeks later. During the short time he had left, Mike talked about how little we knew about pancreatic cancer prior to his diagnosis, and he wanted others to know more about the disease in the hopes they could catch it early. Since then, I have worked relentlessly to raise awareness and funds for innovative research into the disease.

Pretty quickly after losing Mike, I joined Sky Foundation, a wonderful organization doing exactly what I wanted to do. With this shared mission, I have found a family of individuals who are as passionate as I am about producing better outcomes and one day eradicating pancreatic cancer. Learn more about Sky Foundation at Sky Foundation. 

Why Mikie's Peeps

From Mike's ask, Mikie's Peeps was born. Why this specific team name? 2 reasons...first, Mikie loved the marshmallow Peeps. We always debated on the right way to eat them. I liked them fresh out of the box...he liked to open every box and let them get stale before he ate them. Either way they are Peeps and they are delicious. 

Secondly, it's all of you! You are truly Mikie's (and my) peeps - your support means the world!!
