Together, let's provide daily school meals to the 981 schoolchildren in Dawahon School in the Philippines.

About the School

Students: 981
Location: Leyte, Philippines
Sponsor the Entire School for a Year: $117,720

Dawahon School is the only school on the remote island of Dawahon, two hours from Bato, Leyte, serving nearly 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Senior High. It provides academics and extracurricular programs that help children explore new skills.

Families face daily challenges, earning a living through fishing, seaweed farming, and selling seashells, with many parents working off the island and leaving children with grandparents.

With Thrive’s support, students now receive daily nutritious meals, helping them attend school regularly, stay focused, and participate in learning and activities. The school plans to expand feeding to all elementary students in the next two years.

Thrive’s Feeding Program Thrive currently provides daily meals for 600 elementary students at Dawahon School, costing $72,000 per year.

Our goal is to expand to the remaining 381 middle and high school students, requiring $45,720 more annually.

With your support, we can feed all 981 students for a total of $117,720 each year.
