A diagnosis of Breast Cancer is very scary and emotional. After my first ever mammogram I was told they found something very concerning and I needed to have a biopsy done. Unfortunately, after the biopsy I was informed that I did in fact have a form of Breast Cancer called DCIS. Thankfully DCIS is not invasive and mine hadn't spread passed this point.  Because it wasn't  invasive I did not need Chemotherarapy. I needed surgery to remove the Cancer and very close follow up for the rest of my life. I am at an increased risk of another Breast Cancer in the future. Thankfully, I have had such great support from my family and friends throughout this very emotional time.
