I am a 2x survivor of breast cancer. I was first told I had cancer after my very first mammogram in 2009. I can say hearing those words were the furthest from my mind being only 40 years old. Hearing those words for the first time was hard enough. In 2014 I found a lump taking a shower, I believe I stopped breathing for a min and said nope I didn't feel that.. yeah I did 1 week before my 5th year anniversary.. I didn't say anything to anyone because there was a lot of denial, went to see the Dr. More test and yup for a 2nd time I heard you have cancer again. At the age of 45 I had a double mastectomy. Chemo, radiation.. all the fun stuff.. while going through the chemo I met Shira, we were at a Look Good feel good, I'll say party. She introduced me to The Gloria Gemma Foundation, they are a great group of people. Always helping in anyway possible. I can't think of a better foundation to help raise money for. By helping me reach my goal would be helping the foundation help women who don't have the means to get Mammograms done. So please help me to my goal and help me become a torch bearer in 2017...
