I have been a runner for almost 25 years! I have run many races over the years and this year is not any different, except with my races this year, I will be raising money for Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Leader Dog holds an important place in my heart for several reasons. My Great Grandfather was one of the three founders of Leader Dog and my grandfather and father were both members of the Eastside Friendship Lions and spent many years involved with Leader Dog through their club. When I moved to Rochester, I was excited to become a volunteer for Leader Dog, a year later I was hired as a team member in Philanthropy and one year later, I moved to the Facilities Department as the Facilities Coordinator and now work with some amazing volunteers and team members!
After years of my grandparents sharing stories about Leader Dog, I am happy I can continue to contribute to the organization.
