Why pediatrics? Doesn't your heart ache? Isn't it just sad and depressing?

When people ask me why I chose to work with children, they often struggle to understand my reasons. But, my response is simple: Children have a pure sense of optimism and positivity. They battle terrifying diseases and procedures with grace and strength. When their tummies hurt, they try to be a "big kid" and fight the pain. Some will never taste food. Some will never verbally say, "I love you." But, their actions speak much louder than their words. They are resilient. They are inspiring. They are the future. 

Please consider supporting me run my marathon and raise a goal of $500 for Children's Minnesota. Your donation goes to aid in the research for cancer, achieve better outcomes for premature infants and for kiddos who may need long term therapies from a traumatic accident, along with neurosurgical reserach. 

Although, I pray your child does not have to visit a hospital, your donation will advance medical care that can transfer to all hospitals nationwide to benefit all children. These kids may not be yours but, I consider each patient that I see as my child. And, I would do anything for my child.
