Take the Challenge is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities in our community.
 
By participating—or supporting a walker or runner in their fund-raising efforts—funds are raised that allow Easterseals to provide services that help people learn to walk, talk and perform other skills essential to daily living; find fulfilling jobs; reach individualized goals early in life; age with dignity; and participate in camping and recreation programs.

Dear Friend,  Some of you may know that I am a member of the Local Advisory Board for Easterseals Florida. Easterseals is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in our community living with disabilities. When I was 18, after high school graduation, I worked at Easterseals to gain experience working with children with disabilities prior to beginning my Bachelors of Education Degree as an Elementary Education Major. My passion for teaching came from my Mother, a Special Education Teacher's Aide and she encouraged me to get real-world experience by working at Easterseals that Summer.  Thirty years down the line, the Universe brought me back to Easterseals Florida as a volunteer and local advisory board member. We are days away from our Take the Challenge Virtual 5K- and need your help to cross the finish line with reaching our goals!
