On February 28, 2012, I was diagnoseed with MS and it changed life for my family going forward.  It suddently put into question simple things like playing with my 4 kids and leading my household.  Thanks to a loving and gracious God and a great support system, I have been able to maintain a high level of function, but not everyone living with MS is so lucky.  

Since my initial diagnosis, I have been treated by some of the best MS neurologists in the world and now it is time that I give back to them.  To celebrate my 10 year anniversary of living with MS, I have chosen to run the NYC half marathon and raise money to support the Tisch MS Research Center of New York and International MS Medical Practice.  They have given my family and so many people like us hope over the years, and I am forever indebted to them.

It's hard to imagine that this former college football offensive lineman who is built to pick up things and put them down over short distances is going to run 13.1 miles, but I am committed to training smart to conquer my next physical challenge.  Please join me in the fight to rid this world of MS by supporting this great cause financially.  Together we can keep moving forward!
