Karen lived with and fought Parkinson's for at least 22 years.  Earlier this year she lost the fight against PD so we are walking in her memory for the first time this year.   We did many PD walks together over the years but this time she will be there wtih us in spirit only.  PD is a dreadful diesease but they are making great progress at understanding it and developing treatments.  Stopping the progressive nature of this disease seems to be attainable in the near future and we pray for a cure for this  disease soon.  People with PD and their caregivers need a lot of support in dealing with PD.  The Oklahoma Parkinson Alliance provides much needed programs to support these needs.  Come walk with us if you are able or donate to help those dealing with PD.  Thank you so much.
