Moody E. Altamimi is Director of the Office of Research Education (ORE) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), where her priority is to help foster an inclusive ecosystem for thriving research careers and impactful student experiences. Facilitating ORNL’s strategic engagement with leading academic institutions and scientific leaders, she works regularly with students, post-doctoral candidates, and early-career scientists as they navigate their career paths and strive to make great impacts on the world.

Moody’s passion for science, academic excellence, and inclusivity is not evident just in her work at ORNL; these are community attributes she actively champions through her service to others. When given the opportunity, Moody also loves to share with visiting family, friends, and colleagues all the beauty, culture, and unique spirit of the region.

Human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights, impacting countless individuals and families globally. By supporting the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking, together we play a pivotal role in:

Upholding Human Rights: Human trafficking is a severe violation of human rights. Every individual deserves to live free from fear, oppression, and exploitation.

Strengthening our Community: Human trafficking often operates in the shadows of our community. By standing against it, we are ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all community members.

Raising Awareness: Support for CCAHT aids in educating the public about the signs of human trafficking, making it harder for traffickers to operate and easier for victims to find help.

Providing Resources: The coalition often provides resources, support, and a way out for victims. Your support ensures these critical services continue.

Sending a Clear Message: As a community, our collective stance against human trafficking sends a clear message that such activities are not tolerated here.

In supporting CCAHT, we not only protect the vulnerable but also promote a safer, more compassionate community for all.
