Thank you for joining my efforts to raise funds for UPLIFT through the Step Up Team Challenge! We are making a transformative impact in the lives of our neighbors in need.

As Board Treasurer of UPLIFT I'm hosting the Step Up Team specifically benefitting the Student Services & Homeless Services of UPLIFT, for those who may prefer not to split their Step Up donation or fundraising efforts with another non-profit. Having served as a volunteer, donor, Board President & Treasurer, I am deeply committed to our UPLIFT mission of transforming lives and communites with God's love.  

In 1987 UPLIFT founder, Reverend Burton Smith and his wife, Audrey, witnessed the desperate lives of many inner-city residents.  Burt and Audrey heeded the call and took action.  UPLIFT was established as a non-profit, volunteer outreach ministry to serve the needs of children and the homeless in our community.

UPLIFT URGENT COVID Reopening related needs include funding for:

• Student Services - added staff time & equipment to host our FREE Kids At Heart Tutoring as a hybrid model this school year, with both site-based sessions AND virtual platform for low income students, who are especially at risk of falling behind in school right now.   
• Homeless Services - homeless housing support for Home Team Volunteer Advocate program, turning Shelter to Home for those in transitional shelters and motels
