I'm going Over the Edge again! I know... Some of you think I went over the edge a long time ago! I can't argue with that! This time it's as a fundraiser, representing Asbury United Methodist Church, and in support of the Lehigh Conference of Churches. I'm lucky enough to be able to rappel off an 11 story, 165 foot building in Allentown... Two City Center. I can hardly wait until June 1!!!
The Lehigh Conference of Churches does amazing things for the Lehigh Valley's most vulnerable through their Ecumenical Soup Kitchen, Pathways Housing Services, Daybreak program (providing a family for those who have none, serving in treatment for mental illness, substance abuse & HIV/AIDS, and impoverished elderly) and the HOPE program (offering support to homeless adults dealing with mental illness & substance abuse). Over the Edge - Lehigh Valley hopes to raise over $100k in support of this wonderful, and SO needed, programming.
Asbury in Mission (AIM) will match donations up to the first $1000 for our Asbury UMC team, so every little bit helps and will be doubled!!! This event on June 1 is coming up quickly!! Please help me reach my goal of $1000. Thank you, Friends!!!
