In memory of Justin Musser
My friend Justin Musser lost his life to cancer.
In 2027, I’ll be running the London Marathon in his honor.
For 26.2 miles, I’ll carry Justin’s name with me, not only because I miss him, but because I believe remembering someone should mean more than simply looking backward. It can also mean doing something in their name that helps change the future for someone else.
That is why I’m running for Dragon Master Initiative.
Keeping His Name Moving Forward
Justin may not be here to see me cross the finish line, but his name will be there.
It will be there during the early mornings, the long training runs, the difficult miles, and ultimately when I reach the finish line in London.
Every person who donates becomes part of that story too.
My goal is to raise $5,000 for Dragon Master Initiative in Justin’s memory. Every donation, whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, helps support their mission to make cancer research faster, more collaborative, and more accessible.
But I can make sure his name continues to be spoken.

Dragon Master Initiative works to accelerate cures for cancer and other rare diseases by bringing researchers together, improving access to critical research data, and supporting innovative tools that can help scientists find answers faster.
Their work includes supporting platforms such as CAVATICA, which allows researchers around the world to share and analyze pediatric cancer data.
For Justin. For the families still fighting. For a future where cancer takes fewer people from us.
