I always loved animals. I grew up with many pets and since a very young age, I learnt to see them as family members and give them unconditional love. It took me years, however, to educate myself on the animal welfare outside of my home and associate these furry family members with every other animal out there. 

Many don’t know this, but Canada has some of the worst animal protection laws in the western world. And this year, Animal justice helped get three groundbreaking new laws passed for animals in Parliament—banning the captivity of whales and dolphins, outlawing shark fin imports, and closing loopholes regarding animal abuse and animal fighting. 

But the fight continues. With the hope that many more laws will be passed to protect animal rights, I have decided to join Animal Justice’s initiative and raise money to help them continue fighting for those who can’t protect and defends themselves.
