On November 9, we are taking a 24-hour vow of silence to raise awareness for the animals who have no voice in our legal and political systems.
As a species, we have done, and continue to do, far too much damage to the animals on this Earth. Over 819 million farmed animals are killed each year in Canada alone. That is over 2.2 million animals killed daily. For perspective, imagine the entire human population of the Greater Vancouver Area - from West Vancouver to Langley - being wiped off the face of the planet every single day. This is one of many reasons why we have decided to go vegan, and why we adamantly encourage others to do the same.
