I am super grateful for the opportunity to support the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden this year at the Perennial 5K. Walking and being out in nature continue to bring me so much mental and physical healing in my own life, and we are so fortunate to have the Healing Garden to provide these therapeutic and supportive services to cancer patients and their loved ones in our community. My grandmother passed away from breast cancer the year I was born, and events like the Perennial 5K give me a chance to remember and connect with her in a way that I wasn't able to when she was still alive. Any support you can give our team—even if it's just spreading the word about the Healing Garden to people touched by cancer in your own life—would be so appreciated!
