-When and where is Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2023?

The event is on May 11th from 1pm-3:30pm at the Rockville Bowlero: 15720 Shady Grove Rd. Gaithersburg, MD 20877
 

-Can I have an overview of how this event works?

Every year, people all over the National Capital Area come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the fun and easy way for individuals and companies to make an impact on the local community—it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success. Fundraising teams collect donations and then celebrate their success by attending a local bowling party.

 

-What are the ways I can participate?

There are many ways for you to get involved in this event. If you have a business or group that wants to get involved, you can create a team. Your team will aim to raise $1,800. If you do not have a group, you can register as an individual and aim to raise $300. If you want to get involved but not attend the bowling event, you can make a general donation or sponsor a lane for our Matches!

 

-How many people can I have in my fundraising team?

You can have as many people on your team as you want. However, only 6 people per team can bowl.

 

-How much do I need to raise to participate in the bowling event?

Fundraising teams need to raise $1800 and individual participants need to raise $300 to participate in the bowling event.
 

-What if I have less than 6 people on my team?

It is not a problem if you have less than 6 people on your team. You can still fundraise and bowl like normal. 
 

-How can someone donate to my team?

There are two ways for someone to donate to your team. In the donation tab of the website the donor can select the donation recipient. Also, the donor can go to the team’s fundraising page and donate through there.
 

-What are some ways I can fundraise?
There are many ways to raise money! People in the past have reached out to friends or family, posted about it on social media, and hosted bake sales/car washes.
 

-Will my team have their own lane at the event?

Yes, each team will bowl in their own lane at the event.
 

-Will food and beverages be provided?

Yes! We will have a selection of food and beverages during bowling.
 

-Will shoes be provided?

Shoes will be provided for everyone.
