Team Up With Me As I Walk for Pete’s Sake On My Birthday!
Every $50 Raised = A Mile for Mental-Health
For my birthday this year, I’m celebrating by raising funds for suicide prevention and putting some miles behind mental-health awareness.
Starting on September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, I’m raising money for The Pete Foundation. Then, on September 19—my birthday weekend—I’ll walk one mile for every $50 raised, up to a full marathon!
This cause is especially close to my heart. I’ve struggled with anxiety, lost friends and family members to suicide, and I didn’t always feel comfortable talking openly about mental health. Over time, I’ve learned how important those honest conversations can be. When we talk openly, we can make it easier for someone to reach out, ask questions, or get support.
I’m proud to serve on The Pete Foundation Board after first connecting with the organization through Ignite Louisville. Their QPR suicide-prevention trainings help equip people across our community to recognize when someone may be struggling and connect them to help.
Support me by donating, walking alongside me for a few miles on September 19, or registering to participate with your community.
