Our son Cooper was diagnosed over a year ago with epilepsy. There were no warning signs or symptoms. He had been an otherwise healthy boy. After a year of tests and lots of doctor visits and specialists we still have no answers. Despite all of this Cooper is an amazingly resilient kid and is doing well. Epilepsy is not easy to navigate and can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Our family found support and guidance with the Epilepsy Services Foundation (ESF). I have joined the Board of ESF to help other families who are going through this. ESF provides education and support to those living with epilepsy and their caregivers.
