What is Walk for Life?

Walk for Life is an annual fundraising event organized by Choices Women's Center to support the life-affirming resources and services we provide to individuals faced with pregnancy decisions. Participants walk to raise awareness, funds, and to support the mission of Choices Women’s Center.

When is the Walk for Life?

The Walk for Life will take place on May 17th, 2025 at Connect Church (4865 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896). The event will start at 10:00 AM, with registration opening at 9:00 AM.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee to participate in the Walk for Life. However, we encourage all participants to fundraise to help support Choices Women’s Center.

How can I fundraise for the event?

Participants are encouraged to fundraise through their personal fundraising pages. Once you register, you will be able to create a page to share with friends and family. You can also reach out to your network via social media, email, or text to gather support.

Is there a deadline for fundraising?

While fundraising is encouraged throughout the event period, the final donations are due on May 17th, 2025 (the day of the walk). We recommend reaching out to your donors early to give them time to contribute. Paper donations (cash or check) are due by Friday, May 9th in order to be counted toward any prizes.

How can I collect donations?

You can collect donations online or in person. After registering, you’ll receive a personal fundraising link to share for secure online donations. For cash or check donations, ask donors to make checks payable to Choices Women’s Center with “Walk for Life” in the memo. To help track offline donations, download the Donation Pledge Form from the Resource Tab in your fundraising portal. We recommend keeping all donations in envelopes to stay organized. Paper donations are due by May 9th, 2025, and can be dropped off at Choices Women’s Center.

What will the funds raised support?

The funds raised will directly benefit Choices Women's Center, supporting the programs and services we provide to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies. This includes counseling, ultrasounds, education, and material assistance.

What happens if it rains on the day of the Walk?

The event will take place rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather, and we’ll provide extra support to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time regardless of the forecast.

Can I walk with my family or friends?

Absolutely! We encourage teams to sign up and walk together. Create a team when you register, and share your fundraising goals as a group.
