#DidYouKnow that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month? To make a difference in the lives of the 43 children across the nation diagnosed with pediatric cancer each day I have joined the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation's #43challenge. Join us and Walk, Run or Roll in September for pediatric cancer awareness.

The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to research and clinical trials to find less toxic, more effective treatments for childhood cancer.

Caroline was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 18 months old and treated at All Children's Hospital. Just six months later her two-year-old cousin, Julia, was also diagnosed with cancer.  After over two and a half years of treatment, Caroline is in remission.  Sadly, Julia lost her fight with cancer. Caroline is committed to making a difference to honor Julia’s fight and to support all childhood cancer warriors fighting this terrible disease.  On a hot Saturday morning in 2016 Caroline decided she wanted to hold a lemonade stand, "to help her friends still in he hospital."  So quickly makeshift lemonade stand went up in her front yard. She raised $50 over a few hours from neighbors, friends and family.  In year two sister Charlotte joined in and they raised over $800 and and in year three C&C raised over $13,000.  With the onset of COVID they had to take their lemonade stand viral in 2020 and raised even more money for childhood cancer.  100% of  all donations from the lemonade stands go to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to fight childhood cancer.
