Last night the first online FAMILY-TO-FAMILY class in CT came to an end and 11 attendees successfully finished this tremendous program. I am very proud to have been one of the co-teachers of the class. NAMI Connecticut was able to remain forward thinking and switch gears and continue this class in an online form after the Newington Senior Center had to close their doors to us due to the COVID-19 virus situation. It was a live interactive class that ensured the same privacy and confidentiality as in-person classes. These actions of course cost money but the need to continue delivering mental health related programs remains NAMI Connecticut's mission. Please donate to my walk team, Martha's Marchers II, in order to help support these efforts. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Be well and be safe.
