I chose to be a team captain last year and I had one of the biggest teams at the event. I was so overwhelmed with how many people showed up to support me and that's what it's all about.
We walk to show support to those battling, in honor of those who have lost their battle, and to celebrate those in recovery.
1 in 5 people suffer with mental illness and it's important to let them know someone is always listening and that they are never alone.
