Thanks for visiting my donation page and learning more about my fundraising efforts for the Humane Society of Broward County! I’ve been lucky enough to raise money for this cause since 2009 with my first dog, Jaxson (RIP).

In November 2020, after applying to adopt 20+ dogs and not having any luck, I saw this adorable face on the shelter’s website and knew he was destined to be my dog. Louie was named after his home state, Louisiana, where he was found roaming the streets after a hurricane displaced him from his family and home. Severely underweight, terrified of everything, and heart worm positive, Louie faced many obstacles but his loving nature and sweet disposition never wavered. Now LouLou has a bed in every room of my house and never goes a day without copious belly rubs and treats!

He may be the little brother, but there’s nothing little about Ollie! In October 2021, after a fun day at the water park with Louie, I was casually surfing the shelter’s website when I came across a 13-week old Ollie and just had to visit him. Once Louie and I got to the shelter and learned that Ollie came from the same Louisiana shelter that Louie did, I knew I had found Louie’s little brother (much to Louie’s initial displeasure). Ever since I brought Ollie Bear home, not a day goes by where he isn’t attached to Louie’s hip. The only thing Ollie loves as much as his brother is eating everything in sight (whether or not it’s meant to be eaten). Ollie Bear is everyone’s goofy ray of sunshine—always there to brighten your day with his adorable face and constant licks!

For over 32 years, the Walk for the Animals has served as the Humane Society of Broward County's largest annual fundraiser. By donating to the Walk, you are helping thousands of animals that come through their doors each year. Every dollar supports them as they provide veterinary care, food, shelter and much much more to every animal they see.
