    In 2019, I lost my beloved mother to Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), following her almost decade long battle. GBM is the most agressive type of brain tumor and the median survival rate is only 14.6 months. Thanks to UC Medical Center, my mom was able to see her 43rd birthday. Sadly, she passed the next day. 
    In 2023, 88,000 people will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone. Only 3% of all cancer funding that goes to brain tumor and central nervous system cancers, which is why we need to bring awareness and raise funds for research to give those diagnosed a better chance of survival and quality of life.
