Because my mom is the bravest person and I know and I am eternally thankful for all of the life we get to live together.  Over the past 22 years my beautiful mom has received 3 breast cancer diagnoses, related to the BRCA gene mutation.  Most recently, in 2021, she received a metastatic diagnosis.  Due to advances in medicine since her original diagnosis, she continues to keep cancer in its place and prioritize hope, joy and love in her life.  From the very beginning her motto was "I'm not interested in statistics.  I'm not a statistic, I'm Susan".  She is living proof that hope has no expiration date. For my mom, my cousins, my other survivor family members and one very sweet BRCA previvor---this is for you. ❤️
