Week 20: 'Its a boy!' Says the technician.
We prepare for our second boy ?
Week 30: OBGYN…no.... radiologist report says FEMALE. Believe him. Report is clear, no indication of fetal abnormalities.
We FULLY prepare for a girl ?
Week 36: maternal fetal medicine says .... 'oh look he is peeing' .... EXCUSE ME... HE...?
Week 38: Beau is born! I had high blood pressure, and was followed closely, and ultimately had to deliver early. Peds Doctor came in, 'he looks like he has Down Syndrome'.
The next two days were absolutely the worst days, I was scared, upset, mad, sad, angry.... then an angel of a Doctor walked in and said 'he's beautiful, you won't love him any different than you love your other son, he is a blessing'. From that moment on, I have not cried in fear, anger, sadness... I have cried tears of absolute joy and happiness. Beau makes our lives so full, he's hilarious and genuinely the best little soul. Although he is only 4 months old, our activating for him started from day one.
