In December 2024, I woke up one morning with severe pain in my foot — and my life, nor my family's life, hasn’t been the same since. Many doctor appointments, tests, failed treatments and 1 year later, I was finally diagnosed with CRPS. CRPS is unpredictable, rare and often misunderstood, and many people don’t realize how much it can impact daily life.
I’m taking part in this walk to raise awareness and funds for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a chronic pain condition that affects the nervous system and can be incredibly debilitating.
Some days are harder than others. I am undergoing different treatments and intensive rehabilitation in hopes of being able to be as functional as possible. This year, I may not be walking — but I will be rolling, showing up in the way I can. Because this isn’t about distance, it’s about resilience, awareness, and hope for better understanding and treatment for everyone living with this condition.
