FAQs

Registration FAQs

  • Who can participate? Anyone can! Just be sure to sign the indemnification form.
  • How do I register? You can register quickly and easily online! Just click the "Register" button on our homepage or select the "Register" tab above. From there, choose the walk you’ll be joining and fill out your contact information.
  • How much does it cost to register? If you are registering as a fundraiser, no amount is charged at the time of registration but there is a minimum fundraising goal of $75 per person for the Boston walk and $50 per person for the NJ walk. If this minimum is not met, your credit card will be charged the difference after the event. You can also register as a non-fundraising participant and pay an upfront walk fee of $60 for Boston or $40 for NJ.
Teams must raise the minumum per team member to have the walk fee waived. If the minimum is not met, the difference will be charged to your credit card.
Example 1) A NJ team of 10 members needs to raise at least $500 dollars to waive the walk fee of all team members. Only 1 person on the team is successful in collecting funds and raises $500. The entire team would then not have to pay the walk fee.
Example 2) A NJ individual collects $30 in donations. This individual would then have their credit card charged $40 for not reaching the fundraising minimum.
Example 3)  A NJ team of 10 members raises only $400. This would mean that 8 team members would not have to pay the $40 fee and the other 2 will be charged the $40.
  • Are any meals provided? Coffee and bagels will be provided at the Hyatt Regency before the walk for Boston. Coffee and bagels will be provided before the walk for NJ with Pizza and subs served after the walk.
  • How do i register a child without an email? To do this follow these steps:
    1. Click register either on the main page or under the tabs above.
    2. Select which walk you will be participating in
    3. Then select register as a Walker/Fundraiser.
    4. Choose to create a team or join an existing team.
    5. Enter in your registration information as the primary person with an email.
    6. At the bottom click "Add Another Participant" before submitting.
    7. Select "I'll manange their fundraising" under Fundraising Goal. They will then be added to your account and you will have access to their fundraising goal and page. They will still receive a T-shirt.
Please note, registering via this pathway does not exempt the team from the minimum fundraising amount. 8 Adults with 2 children means that the team must raise $750 for Boston and $500 for NJ to cover the fee.
