If you know me, you know camp isn’t just my job anymore… it’s my entire personality. ?

Im the lucky girl that gets to spend every day all summer at one of the most magical places I’ve ever known.

At Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities get to spend a week doing all the camp things. They catch fish, ride horses, swim, climb, make art, sing way too loudly, laugh until their cheeks hurt, and leave with new friends and memories they’ll talk about all year.

The best part? They get to do it in a place where they’re celebrated exactly as they are.

I have the incredible privilege of watching campers do things they didn’t think they could do, seeing staff become lifelong friends, and witnessing those little camp moments that somehow end up meaning everything.

For almost 90 years, MHKC has been making those moments possible, and donations help ensure we can continue providing scholarships, adaptive equipment, accessible facilities, and life changing experiences for hundreds of campers every year.

This is why I won’t stop talking about camp.
