2020 has been a year like no other. And as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we’re making sure your experience at the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital will be safe, fun and memorable.

At GHF, we’re still committed to community and connection. And we’re still committed to an energetic, interactive and engaging Walk/Run Day, but this year it will be a bit different.

Physical distancing is the reality for the foreseeable future, and so we are reimagining the Walk/Run. As September 27 approaches, we are developing an exciting virtual experience. We’ll organize the fun online and you have the option to bring together a small group of family and friends to run or walk as part of your at-home celebration.

Watch this website for details about our new way of gathering. Being physically apart won’t stop us from coming together. Please sign up, fundraise and join us on Walk/Run Day because together, we are raising money to support local healthcare and hospital workers.

1. When is the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital?

This year will look a little different, but we are still hoping to have T-shirts and Goodie Bags for all of our participants. More information will be coming out soon on delivery and pick up logistics.

11. What is Strava?

Strava is a fitness tracking app that allows you to track your walk/run route, km's travelled, and more. It will also allow you to see the routes of other people you follow in the app. We have created a Georgetown Hospital Foundation Strava Club for you to be able to track other participants on event day.

12. How do I view the Virtual Finish Line Festival?

This year we will be hosting a Virtual Finish Line Festival in lieu of the physical event we normally have at the Gellert Community Centre. We will be updating this website with information on how you can tune in to the event in the upcoming weeks. Make sure you check back!
