I'm Raising Money for Survivors of Gender Based Violence
I’m proud to be participating in Walk the Mile in support of YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County and the critical work they do in our community.
The YWCA provides services that many people may never think about until they or someone they love needs them. Through its Rape Crisis Services, the YWCA supports survivors of sexual assault and abuse, providing advocacy, resources, education, and a place to turn during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Their work also includes sexual violence prevention and education and efforts to combat human trafficking and support those affected by exploitation.
This is work that often happens quietly, but its impact is enormous. Survivors deserve to be believed, supported, and given the resources they need to move forward. Our community is stronger when those services are available.
That’s why I’m walking, and why I’m asking for your help.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to my Walk the Mile fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps support the YWCA’s work right here in Carlisle and Cumberland County.
And if donating isn’t possible, sharing my fundraising page is another meaningful way to help spread the word.
Thank you for helping support survivors, prevent violence, combat human trafficking, and make these vital services available in our community. ?
