Hi Everybody!  

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for NuPath's Walk the Walk 2015. All proceeds from this walk will go directly to the programs here at NuPath.  One program that is near and dear to my heart is Navigating Life.  This innovative program will allow every family member that is part of NuPath to join a private group and follow along on their loved one's daily journey.  The staff team leaders will be posting comments, as well as pictures and video clips of our individuals during their daily activities.   Parents and family members will be able to post comments as well, which in turn will open up the lines of communication between NuPath and families during the day.

How many times a day do we check some sort of social media? We post pictures and comments and scroll through to see the pictures and comments of our loved one’s daily activities. The idea behind Navigating Life is to integrate that instant connection between the families and the individuals here at NuPath.  My sister, Maureen, attended programs at NuPath for many years.  It was certainly not her strong suit to start a conversation.  If a platform like Navigating Life had existed back then it would have been an incredible tool for our family.  We would have loved to not only witness her day to day life, but it would have been a lot easier to begin a conversation and allow her more of an opportunity to share about her life.

As we all know, technology has a large price tag, but the benefits outweigh that cost 10 fold.  Your support for this endeavor would be a huge asset to the family’s involved in these programs.

Our team goal this year is $1,500, which I trust will be easily reached with your collective help.  As an organization, we are hoping to raise $131K to support the Navigating Life program which will unite our individuals, staff and family members into One NuPath.
