Every since finding out about Lupus in 2004 I can't even tell you how many people I know that are living with this disease each and every day. Many of you know that my sister was diagnosed with Lupus in 2004. We are blessed that she has been able to suppress most of the symptoms through medication, but she and others struggle with this illness on a daily basis. Fast forward to 2018 and it was my turn to find out that I have this awful disease that I struggle with on a daily basis as well but do my absolute best to push through. My sister and I are lucky because our symptoms are "manageable".
Although many people have lupus, it can be very difficult to diagnose and treat, and there is much more research that needs to be done. Hopefully one day there will be a cure to this silent miserable disease.
