?? On average it takes 6 years to get a lupus diagnosis which in turn means it can take that long to get proper treatment. For me, it took  longer.  Many people like myself, struggle all those years feeling awful, not knowing what is causing it, and on top of it not being a "visible" disease, means others don't always take you seriously. The day I got my diagnosis was good and bad. Good, because I finally knew what was making me feel so awful and we had a plan. Bad, because I then realized that this was never going to be an "easy fix," it was lifelong.

We walk to help make this invisible disease VISIBLE! With the support of my family, friends, and all those that donate, we can make a difference!! The support by walking, donating, praying, checking up on me, has been humbling. I would not be where I'm at today without all of YOU!!

This money donated truly impacts those of us first hand. It's been less than a year since my official diagnosis. In that time frame, this foundation has given me an amazing support group that gets me when others simply can't. They have given us Zoom meetings with medication reps that will do a presentation and then answer all of our questions.  What other group gets you in contact with the sources one on one. This opportunity alone educated me on what meds would be a good next step in my treatments along with my doctor.  We've got free access for our health questions, free symptom trackers which is very important, Zoom meetings with Rheumatologists, Neurologists,  Nephroligists, Dermatologists, and so many more to ask our questions. This education is invaluable. 
I May we walked in hopes of a cure, so no more have to suffer. The meds, the infusions, the side effects, the pain, the exhaustion- needs to end!!
