I was born at 31 weeks prematurely. I was diagnosed with periventricular leukomalacia and cerebral palsy. My mom saw a flyer in the NICU from Easter Seals that talked about a home monitoring program for premature babies like me. Easter Seals came to my home as soon as I was discharged from the hospital. Easter Seals has been a part of my life ever since! I have attended pre-school at Easter Seals and Outpatient Services. Easter Seals how to walk independently and helped improve my quality of life. I also have attended the pragmatic group to learn social skills. Now I have many friends and have transitioned from the self-contained classroom to special education and regular classes. I am also a member of Drama Foresenics club and work at the tech team at my church. Because of Easter Seals of Arkansas, I feel like a complete man now and I can have a career, wife, and children someday.
