The Warrior Challenge is FamilieSCN2A Foundation's largest community fundraising and awareness event. It raises critical funds for SCN2A research, advocacy, and family support. SCN2A-related disorders are rare, devastating, and deeply underfunded. They are major genetic causes of epilepsy and autism.

As many of you know, my 8-year old granddson, Henry, is afflicted with this rare genetic condition. As a result, he is profoundly autistic, non-verbal and developmentally delayed. He needs assistance with almost all the routines of daily living. We celebrate all the small steps he makes -- like recently using his assistive communication device to tell his mom he was thirsty! Thankfully, he was born to loving, patient and dedicated parents -- and he has two siblings that love and protect him also!

Families fight every single day—and the Warrior Challenge is how we rally around them. Every mile moved, every dollar raised, and every voice shared brings us closer to breakthroughs, support, and hope.
