Thank you for being here. We’re walking to support the FamilieSCN2A Foundation—raising funds for research, support, and advocacy for families like ours facing SCN2A-related disorders. Calvin was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, SCN2A, in April 2024. For Calvin, this means: developmental delays, low muscle tone, autism, CVI (cortical visual impairment) and intractable epilepsy. He’s had hundreds of seizures, more hospital stays than any toddler should, and challenges that most of us can’t imagine. But here’s the thing: Calvin doesn’t let any of it stop him. Against the odds, he’s taken his first steps, is learning to communicate with an AAC device, and continues to show us every day how strong and determined he is.

Calvin is our Warrior

He flicks his little hands when he’s happy, makes pterodactyl squeals when he’s excited, and could listen to Goodnight Moon a hundred times without getting bored. He’s obsessed with Ms. Rachel, lights up at music, and gives the very best hugs and cuddles.

We started Calvin’s Clan because no one should face this rare disease alone. Since his diagnosis, we’ve found our people — a community that celebrates the tiny but mighty inchstones, carries us through the hard days, and dreams with us of a future where kids like Calvin have real treatment options.

• Warrior Walk with PUPPY POWER! Join us as we partner with Picnics with a Pup for this years Warrior Walk! Join us at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN, on Saturday October 11th! The 1.2 mile paved walk will start at 10 am and end with picnic-styled refreshments at the Island Picnic Shelter, where you can pet and cuddle with some therapy dogs!
