We're taking part in the Warrior Challenge, the FamilieSCN2A Foundation's largest community fundraising and awareness event to help raise critical funds for SCN2A research, advocacy, and family support.

SCN2A-related disorders are rare, devastating, and deeply underfunded. Families fight every single day and the Warrior Challenge is how we rally around them. For Ethan's 10th birthday this year, our goal is to raise $10,000! He will turn 10 next week on August 21 and we hope to reach our goal by Giving Tuesday (after Thanksgiving) in November. This means we will have 3 months to achieve this ambitious goal and hope that our village will support us to make this a reality.

Ethan is the definition of resilient. For this reason, we have decided to bike a 10K on November 1 (coincides with a local city race). We will bike a 10K and fundraise $10K for Ethan's 10th birthday this year! As we reflect on the last 10 years, we are overwhelmed by all the love and support that has carried us. We could not have made it. Ethan was given 2 years to live and now defied all odds to quintuple the life expectancy he was given. So many times we thought he would leave us but he's pushed through every major life threatening obstacle. We will therefore celebrate 10 miraculous years filled with hardship and LOVE.
