This Memorial Day weekend, AE UNLTD JIU JITSU is hosting a free open mat in support of the We Defy Foundation. Join us Saturday, May 23rd at 11:30 AM at our Henderson, NV location — all academies, all affiliations welcome.

We Defy provides combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities a long-term means to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It costs an average of $2,500 to fund a single veteran scholarship, covering both gym fees and uniform costs.

Jiu Jitsu has been shown to be an effective alternative therapy for veterans suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Through training, veterans reconnect to community, find a welcoming environment, and build the tools to better cope with their military-connected disabilities.

How to help:

• Donate directly through this page. This is the preferred way to give — 100% of donations made here go straight to the We Defy Foundation with no middleman.
• Donate at the gym. If you'd rather give in person, we'll accept cash or card at AE UNLTD JIU JITSU and pass it along to the foundation on your behalf.
• Spread the word. Share this page with your friends, family, and social networks. The more reach, the more veterans we can put on the mats.
