My name is Brian Caldwell, owner and head instructor of BJJ Boston 24/7/365 in Methuen, Massachusetts. I’m also a United States Marine Corps veteran, husband, father, longtime wrestler, coach, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.
The values I learned in the Marines — discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and taking care of the people beside you — have stayed with me throughout my life. Those same values are a huge part of what we try to build every day at BJJ Boston.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has given me a place to challenge myself, clear my head, and stay connected to a strong community. After recently going through my own battle with prostate cancer, the meaning behind our academy motto, “The Fight Continues,” has become even more personal to me.
That is why participating in the We Defy Ruck and Roll is so important to me. I believe veterans deserve a place where they can find purpose, camaraderie, challenge, and a team that has their back.
Our goal is to raise $2,500, with a stretch goal of $5,000, to help support veterans through the We Defy Foundation and get more veterans onto the mats.
If you can donate, share, or simply help spread the word, it would mean a lot to me and everyone at BJJ Boston.
The Fight Continues.
