About Me!

I’m a Multilingual Learner teacher and a runner, and both are such a big part of who I am. I have the privilege of working with students from many different backgrounds, including students who are both multilingual learners and on the autism spectrum. Every day, my students remind me what perseverance looks like. I get to watch them take on challenges, grow in confidence, and keep showing up even when learning feels difficult. They inspire me constantly, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of their journey.

Why I am Running for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation

I’m running the Disney Marathon with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism because I want these miles to mean more than just a finish time.

I want my students to see that their background, the language they speak, the challenges they face, or the way they learn do not define what they are capable of. Big goals take time, hard work, support, and the willingness to keep going when things get hard.

As I train for 26.2 miles, I hope I can show them that you don’t have to start at the finish line, you just have to believe that something is possible and keep putting in the work to get there.

I’m running for my students, for everything they are capable of, and to remind them that they can dream big too. Every mile is for them. ?
